A Fresh Start...
Posted 18-Jan-2016 10:47 amSometimes when your oil is drying up,
The old habits which were once crucified on the Cross of Jesus Christ,
Begin to ensue and resurface again,
The body of sin that had been put to death,
And the selfish desires that were then buried,
All of a sudden, without prior information,
Resume their former offices and duties,
O yes, it is a sign of DEPLETED GRACE...,
The full oil has all been used up, Now,
There is the need for a REFILLING...
Sometimes when your lamp is burning low,
The light that was once shining,
Giving direction and discretion to all and sundry,
Lightening up the soul in perfect holiness,
Become so dim that caution must now be taken,
before a single step is lifted forward,
"Lest I hit my foot against any obstacle",
O yes, it is a sign of SMOKING FLAX,
The real light has gone out, Now,
There is the need for a RELIGHTING.
Sometimes, when your strength is fading out,
The little temptations you formerly overcame with little or no spiritual regard,
Now become the greatest fight of your greatest years.
Little ungodliness and pollutions seen each day,
Tend to stay and disturb your continuous walk with God,
Your prayer point each morning while you awake, is:
"Have mercy upon me O Lord, I've fallen again...",
The grace of bearing and forbearing is absent,
And it seems you are the one striving to keep yourself afloat.
O yes, it is a sign of PROTRACTED LUKEWARMNESS,
The godly strength has fizzled out long ago,
"...and he wist not that the Lord was departed from him", [Judges 16:20]
Now,
There is the need for a REVIVAL and REAWAKENING.
There are times to intercede for others as commanded,
Burdened for sin-sickening sight of dying souls, and
Weep on the knees for the revival of our world.
But,
There are also times to put that aside or behind, and to lay,
Flat on the face before God for REVISITATION,
Not on the world, but on 'yourself',
While you see not your signs again, [Psalm 74:9]
Consecrate yourself in the closet for RE-CRUCIFIXION,
That the refreshment may be sent down from on high,
Broken there from, and filled again to run the race,
For, "we must needs die daily..." [1Corinthians 15:31b]
