Bearers of Burdens...

And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish, so that we are not able to build the wall. [Nehemiah 4:10]

...burden...

The Lord has a burden. Something is steering in the heart of the Lord, and He is looking for those to share it with, those who can bear His burdens with Him.

The burden is so heavy in the heart of God, He is looking for faithful men, men dead to their insinuations, dead to their own ambitions, dead to their own desires and aspirations, dead to everything here below, who are ready to partner with Him in carrying this burden. It is a burden that weighs a man down, therefore, weak men, men of plenty goals who are not focused, men who are not ready to die, are not welcomed.

The Lord wants to do something great, but He never does anything but in answer to the prayers of the people, unto whom He has committed His burden.

The Lord looks down at the children of men, and He's in hot tears, He with great burden is asking:

"...Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" [Luke 18:8].

The state of the church today, the desire for worldliness, the pursuit of carnality, the moral decadence in the society, the rate of growth of iniquity, sin that has become the daily food of men, Christians have given their lives to Christ today, not to seek for eternal things, but as a means of competing with the world to get their positions, the things of the world have become so sweet to the taste buds of modern day believers that they now call bitter, sweet, and perishables, blessings. The churches have become a place of fashion show, the messages from the pulpits are messages of worldly achievements, no more that of the Cross, Jesus has been made a means of achieving the selfish interests of men. The drinking bars, night clubs and dancing joints are increasing by the day, and the true church has tolerated them, the gay movements have become legalized in the society, the message of the church has completely changed, the focus also is no longer about heaven, the desire for life hereafter has become almost extinct, film houses and entertainment industries have taken up every shops on our streets, the devil has succeeded largely, sports and pornography are been mixed together now, nakedness and nudity has become the definition of beauty, the music world is all about seduction and money, the devil has won, Christianity has lost its definition to materialism and administration, the Cross has lost its attractions, it has become old and discarded, Jesus has become a sugar daddy, no more the Saviour...

Where did it all go wrong? what has become of our world? Hell is relaxing with ease because it has conquered the world, and Heaven is perplexed because God's generals, who ought to fight His course, have retired and have joined the rat race in the enemy camp.

...burdens...

The burden here is the burden of prayer. The burden is the burden for Revival in our days. God is longing to release Himself unto the people, but there is no one preparing the way for His coming.

His desire and passion is for a land where there is an awareness of God that grips everyone on the street, where men breathe God like air, a land where men are afraid to open their mouths and utter godless words lest God's judgments should fall immediately, a land where sinners begin to cry out in trembling for mercy and repentance, where supernatural power grips men in divine terrifying convictions, where hardened men's hearts suddenly melt like wax as they weep their ways to the Cross, where every life displaces the popular 'good life' and enthrones Christ...

A burden for a divine visitation in the land, a great awakening of hearts once dead in sins, a revival where the dance halls, the movies, theatre houses, club houses, motels, entertainment houses, all close down due to low turnouts, because their patronisers have found liberty in Jesus. A passion for the hour when Salvation will rip through the land, drunkards, prostitutes, sex workers, smokers, gamblers, will cry out for mercy, academics will be suspended because students are making their ways right with God, men will get tired of religion as their souls long for restoration with God, worldliness and fashion parades will become nauseating and odious, all appetites for iniquity will suddenly be lost, the world will appear bogous and empty, the heart of men will become so famished as the hunger and presence of God grips them with awe...

Oh for a day, when the whole community will be on its knees, when home videos will go out of fashion, when movie actors and actresses will be in tears because of the state of their never-dying souls, the revival of righteousness will sweep across the land, every home and every heart will become an altar for God...Come Lord Jesus, and revive the land again...

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence. [Isaiah 64:1]

"...the Bearers of burdens..."

The bearers of burdens do not know or do their works anymore, the burdens that ought to weigh them down have become so light and insignificant before their eyes, they have gone ahead to pursue other irrelevant and perishable things, they have become contenders with the things of the world and competitors with the worldly people in amassing as much worldliness as possible thinking that God came for such useless things. You hear things like "my God is not poor...", a clear revelation that the emphasis of the pulpit has changed. Men who ought to be the Jeremiahs of our time, whose heads ought to be waters, and eyes a fountain of tears, who ought to weep day and night for the slain and the iniquity of the land, who ought to recede into the closet and cry for the restoration of primitive Christianity and Revival of a life with eternity in view, who ought to be a voice shouting loudly against the decadence and materialism that cannot proceed beyond this dying, fading, extinct world - these blinded men have become promoters of carnality, and have exalted gain as godliness.

Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! [Jeremiah 9:1]

The bearers of burdens have forgotten that in the day when they gave their lives to Christ, they died to the world, they were dead as far as the worldly systems were concerned, and became alive ONLY to heavenly, spiritual things.
The life once lived in the flesh, that normal life died the moment they confessed the Lord, and they were brought into the new life - the life where only heavenly things make sense. Why then is there the importation of the useless old, dead life into this new life? the glory of the world - which ought to have died - is now being mistaken as the glory of the new kingdom. The people who ought to bear the burdens of revival with the Lord, have neglected the Lord and are pursuing shadows, they appear to exalt God with their pomposity, but they are actually denying Him

"...the strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed..."

Alas!!!, the strength has finished, the life is gone from men who ought to hold the forth in the place of prayers, men who ought to be filled with tears, holding on to God, crying out, saying "Lord, if you don't bless me, I will not let You go", they have become flamboyant men, sophisticated men, running after goods and gadgets, priding in their worldly achievements.

The altar of prayer has been rent in pieces and been broken down, many altars have become totally inexistent, there are no animals thereon again, no one is ready to sacrifice anymore, everybody now goes about in Christmas clothes, showing off, shouting aloud that "my God is good!, my God is a great God!!, my God is not poor!!!", they claim a lot of things now "by faith" - the faith of covetous hearts that call gain godliness. Even those who have some moments of praying, do they pray aright? what are their prayer points?, they are killing their enemies, they are dealing with the witches, they are saying 'O God, I claim my inheritance, I possess my possessions, O God! let my blessings locate me, this is my year of breakthrough, I must buy my 2nd car, I must build my 5th house...', altars are filled with testimonies of junk and garbage that will not last beyond this world. The world has become our home, the belly has become our god, we have become generations of Esau, and have sold our birthright for a mere mess of pottage, our eyes have become so blind and we have become nonentities. The men on our altars today are men placed there by the devil, they are shouting at the top of their voices and making noise, but nothing is happening, and the devil is happy and relaxing. Evil has increased so largely, but the men to deal with it have become promoters of it... What a calamity, the strength of the bearers of burdens has decayed, the strength is gone...

"...and there is much rubbish..."

There is much rubbish!, there is much sinfulness!!. Is it not because the strength of the burden bearers has decayed that there is much rubbish? Is it not because there is no fire to consume the rubbish that the rubbish is increasing by the day? Is it not because we have by our act of negligence permitted the rubbish, that there is a great heap of it, and the stench now oozing out therefrom by much neglect is beginning to cause an epidemic of iniquity and godlessness in the land? The men to deal with rubbish have become part of the people helping to increase it.

Today we condemn the world for being worldly, we blame the sinner for being sinful, we lash out at the erring church members, but the leaders, men who ought to be burden bearers themselves have become sophisticated, drinking tea and wearing suit and enjoying the air conditioned offices, they have become weak and powerless, having no strength to deal with the rubbish. Our eyes have become dry, there are no more tears, we are beginning to smell nice and attractive to the world because of numerous perfumes, we have lost focus...

...Eyes will never see,
Ears will never hear,
Minds will never conceive,
The Church will never grow
Oh...
Neither will the Kingdom
expand,
While my eyes are dry!!!

The ones who ought to dictate proceedings, who ought to be at the front, who ought to put iniquity at bay, are now at the back, at the receiving end, crying lest they should be defiled by the evil they have permitted.

...so that we are not able to build the wall.

There is an urgent need for men in tears, men and women who have finished with smooth knees, flamboyant dress and sexy face, crucified men who are hungry for divine glory.

God is in search for men who will stand in the gap, men who have slept enough, and are ready to wake up to their God-given responsibilities and duties, men who no longer can tolerate ungodliness, men who are ready to build the wall that is broken down, who are ready to storm heaven in relentless prayers, whose heads are filled with waters, whose eyes are a fountain of tears, who are tired of rubbish, who can no longer manage with wickedness in the land, men who will not allow God to rest day and night, men, whose prayer point is: "Will thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?" [Psalm 85:6]

Am I ready to fill this post???
