Treasure Store

As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of God’s word, that ye may grow thereby: [1Peter 2:2]
God desires so much for all His children (all who belongs to Him) to grow. He doesn’t accept stagnancy for any reason neither will He tolerate any excuse for not growing.
God is not a stagnant God. He is unlimited. You can’t finish Him. There is so much treasure in Him and all the treasures in Him is what He is keeping in store for His children to consume. They are not there for fancy but, for consummation. When you refuse to play your part in desiring those treasures, the treasures will still be secured and can’t get to you. Yes, God is desirous for all His own to grow in Him but, He can only help you to achieve that only if there is that hunger in you. He cannot force it on any man.
As newborn babes, desire…
When a man does not have desire for something when you offer it to him, he will not appreciate it. Go...

Being Dead, But Living...
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, BEING DEAD to sins, SHOULD LIVE unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [1Peter 2:24]
"...that we, being dead... should live..."
Reading the above text very carefully, I notice that the emphasis in the verse is more about “living” rather than “dying”. The text reveals that Jesus Christ bore our own sins on the tree (i.e. on the Cross). Therefore, Jesus has achieved the part of death for everyone who gets to that cross where He died. This “death part” is a natural one. It is the one done by Christ on the Cross.
Death was achieved, not by our own operation or by our doing. Our death was actually achieved by Christ on the cross, and for the fact that Christ did bare our sins in His own body on that tree, the fact of death was totally consummated, it was concluded, and it was fini...

THAT I MAY SEE JESUS
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life, (for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us,) that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. [1John 1:1-3]
That which we have seen with our eyes...
John, one of the Apostles of Jesus, and the writer of this epistle was referring to the Lord Jesus here as the ONE “which we have seen with our eyes”. In order words, he is confirming without ambiguity that Jesus is real. Jesus is not just a ghost, he says, we saw Him with our very eyes. He is not a figment of the imaginations of man. He is a person. He is not win...

WALK WORTHY
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called. [Ephesians 4:1]
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. [Colossians 1:10]
...walk worthy of the vocation...
There is a quantum of maturity and lifestyle expected of every level of Christian height that you have reached. Do not be found living a life that is "lower" than the standard of the calling that you have received. It is not enough to just do right. There is a righteousness that is expected of every level unto which grace has carried you.
There is a lifestyle that is expected of children, and it will be okay for them. There is another lifestyle that is expected of youths, young adults and grownup men/women, which are different one from another. Each le...

ARE YOU A CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD?
Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
[ John 3:3 KJV]
…Verily, verily, I say unto thee…
Right from the Old Testament through the New Testament and up until now, there has been a misconception about the kingdom of God, even though it is the singular theme of the entire Bible. Many keep staring at the obvious but cannot see the forest for the trees. A few who sought after this kingdom of God only did so erroneously and do not understand what it entails. Many believe the kingdom of God was the establishment of a physical kingdom on earth which will bring them deliverance from an oppressive government that ruled over them and brought suffering, anguish, deprivation and molestations. They looked forward to a kingdom of God with a Messiah as the king that will bring them freedom from all physical problems and cha...

MANY ARE CALLED, FEW ARE CHOSEN
For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard… he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, And said unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth… ninth… eleventh hour…, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?... Go ye also into the vineyard [Matthew 20:1-8]
Our lord Jesus has come to the world to gather labourers. Hence, whenever more labourers are needed, He comes to recruit men.
…an householder…went out early in the morning…
The householder went out early and hired some labourers who agreed to work for him at a price and they worked till the close of the day. These labourers called e...

FRUITS, NOT LEAVES
And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it.[Mark 11:12-14]
…he was hungry…
God was very clear in the beginning when He said to the man He created: “…Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…” He spoke in like manner to the animals, trees and all He created that they should be fruitful, multiply, fill the waters in the seas and bring forth abundantly after their different kinds. After the flood, in Genesis 9:1, to re- affirm His commitment to fruitfulness, “God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth”. In the sam...

A Signpost for destruction.
...And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king. Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself, and tomorrow am I invited unto her also with the king. [Esther 5:11-12]
When a man has deliberately taken it upon himself to pit himself against God by turning deaf ears to His repeated warnings and corrections, and behaves terribly, It is very possible that God would be preparing such a man for destruction. God can be taking His time over the life of a disobedient, incorrigible man, who has completely refused divine counsel either by his lifestyle or behaviors just to make that man a signpost for others. God can be very patient over his incorrigibility just to destroy him, or to make him a scap...

DO YOU KNOW HIM?
Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against Him, how they might destroy Him. But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew Himself from thence: and great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. And charged them that they should not make Him known: [Matthew 12:14-16]
The Bible reveals in verse 16 that Jesus charged and commanded the multitudes that followed Him that they should not make Him known. The question that arises immediately in our hearts is that: “Didnt these people know Jesus before?”, “Why would Jesus tell them not to make Him known when they already knew Him?”
From verses 10 and 14 of this Matthew 12, the Pharisees already knew Jesus. They knew what He was capable of doing. They knew His physique, His stature, physical appearance, height, colour and background. They even knew His message. They recognized His voice. In fact, they knew perfectly that He was going to heal on the Sabbath day (v...

Grace...
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [2Cor.12:7-9]
“…unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.” [1Timothy 1:2]
...grace, mercy, and peace...
What we see in 1Timothy 1:2 was the salutation and greeting of the great apostle, Paul, unto his well beloved son in the Lord. His focus and passion was on how more of Gods grace and mercy would be imputed unto Timothy his son in the Lord. Read More.
